The Pentagon and Congress are at odds over the future of the M1 Abrams tank, as the Pentagon wants to freeze $3 billion in funding for upgrades in favor of a full redesign, but lawmakers want to continue production to protect factory jobs and political donations from contractors, the Center for Public Integrity reports.
