IRS mishandled adoption tax credit, IG report says
A new report from the Inspector General for Tax Administration found the Internal Revenue Service mishandled implementation of a tax credit to help families adopt children, as many claims were delayed and a total $11 million was awarded to families that did not qualify, the Washington Guardian reports.
