NYC approves Bloomberg's large-drink ban
The New York City Board of Health has approved a proposal that bans the sale of large sugary drinks at fast-food restaurants and theaters, Mayor Michael Bloomberg saying “Obesity is one of America’s most deadly problems, and sugary beverages are a leading cause of it,” CNS News reports.
